When you first go to the golf course, I recommend going straight to the Pro Shop and ask them where do you get range balls?
Ex. “This is my first time here, where do you get range balls and what different sizes do you have?”
Most places are pretty similar and Pro Shop employees are very helpful when it comes to your first time there!
